About the Program
The need for highly skilled supply chain professionals has never been higher.
This eight-month graduate certificate program provides you with not only the foundational competencies necessary to become a supply chain professional, but also the technical and analytical skills to participate in supply chain strategy and design decisions.
In today's complex environment, supply chain experts play a key role in making decisions that reduce emissions and drive positive climate action. Your Seneca graduate certificate will set you apart because it will ensure that you have the knowledge to assess your firm’s supply chain environmental impacts and drive positive actions to reduce carbon emissions and reduce the use of scarce non-renewable resources.
You will have the option to specialize in your second semester in one of the following two streams:
Sustainability stream: further solidify your technical knowledge and skills to lead sustainable business practices throughout the supply chain
Technology stream: gain a deeper knowledge of SAP; as a successful student from this stream, you may enroll in our optional TS410 and become an "SAP Certified Application Associate"

This program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format. Some coursework is online and some must be completed in person. Students will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term(s) in a formal work environment. The work term(s) is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

As a graduate, you will be prepared to reliably demonstrate the ability to:
- Apply knowledge of the functional components within logistics to the interrelationships in the integrated supply chain.
- Employ a working knowledge of best practices in supply chain management.
- Apply the basics of purchasing and supplier management to current best practices.
- Apply knowledge of forecasting and inventory management theories and methodologies.
- Use logistics technology tools and resources, in order to comply with the requirements of logistics/supply chain management.
- Utilize information technology systems proficiently to support logistics management decisions.
- Evaluate and select warehousing and transportation options and recommend appropriate solutions for business requirements.

Admission Requirements
- Ontario university/college degree, college diploma, advanced diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants with a combination of partial postsecondary and/or significant relevant work experience that is the equivalent of the above may be considered. A relevant resume and references must be provided.
- English proficiency for graduate certificates
Canadian citizens or permanent residents educated outside of Canada must provide a World Education Services (WES) or ICAS Canada credential evaluation.
International Student Information
International admissions requirements vary by program and in addition to English requirements, programs may require credits in mathematics, biology, and chemistry at a level equivalent to Ontario’s curriculum, or a postsecondary degree or diploma, equivalent to an Ontario university or college.
